The Industry Engagement Committee focuses on fostering meaningful connections across the investment community and strengthening the presence of CFA Society Toronto among key external stakeholders. The Committee drives impactful initiatives and collaborative programming that enhance awareness of the CFA designation while promoting inclusion, representation, and community engagement.

Two-year term. Volunteer Program year is July to June.
Description
Contribute to effective programming and education events related to institutional asset management to meet the professional development needs of the CFA Society Toronto membership.
Support the Society’s Strategic Plan, Vision & Mission by promoting events that enhance the profile of the CFA designation and our membership.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in monthly meetings.
- Attend and participate in ad hoc committee meetings as required.
- As content experts, committee members propose event topics, event timing, event format, seek speakers/moderators/facilitators etc.; propose target audience, recommend networking opportunities. Provide feedback to improve CFA Society Toronto’s professional development and continuing education programming.
- Committee members and Society staff work in conjunction to successfully plan, market, and deliver high quality programs and events consistent with members’ needs in an effective and efficient manner that elevates our brand.
Time commitment
- One-hour monthly meetings.
- 3 events per year, must assist and attend one event.
- Average 5 hours per month.
Requirements
- Must be a CFA Society Toronto member in good standing.
- Good team player who thrives in a collegial volunteer environment.
- Keen interest on emerging themes impacting the industry.
- Enthusiastic and takes initiative to lead and follow-through to execution.
- Strong communicator and facilitator.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven strategic leadership skills.
Must have time to attend necessary meetings, events, and program function
